If you visit this palace you will definitely see that the whole space is decked with intricate with mirror work. To add on the beauty of the room there are beautiful paintings on the wall of the palace. The ceilings are also decorated with gold, silver, blue and green chandeliers.
The palace was made for the pleasure and entertainment of the kings. The phool mahal was mainly used for performances by the female dancers and other musical shows or social gatherings. It was called as Phool mahal as it was made to look like a beautiful flower. This palace was also decorated with the gold which was brought far away from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Janki Mahal, now a part of Mehrangarh Museum was actually called the “Palace of Glimpses”. The windows were used by the ladies to peep down at the courtyard.
